If you’re wanting a meaningful community connection during this time of sheltering at home, consider this interactive, music-filled event being launched by the Staenberg Family Foundation.

The St. Louis Jewish Community Flagpole, a community rally of solidarity and song, will take place on four consecutive Thursdays at 7 p.m., beginning April 30.  Hosted by St. Louisan and touring artist Rick Recht, the event will stream via Facebook Live on the Jewish Federation of St. Louis Facebook Page. It will feature community leaders, clergy and families sharing inspiring news from the St. Louis Jewish community. The name, Flagpole, comes from the daily tradition at Jewish summer camps of gathering around the flagpole for ritual singing, announcements, and flag-raising or lowering.
